3 Questions that will bring you peace- Answered by Quran
1. Knowing your Creator Allah The Almighty: When a person truly knows Allah, His Names, Attributes, and His infinite wisdom and mercy—they develop Tawakkul (trust in Allah) and inner tranquility. Recognizing that everything happens by His will removes anxiety and brings true peace.
“Those who believe and whose hearts find peace in the remembrance of Allah. Surely, it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts find peace.” (Quran 13:28)
2. Understanding your Existence and Purpose: When a person realizes that their life has a divine purpose to obey Allah, seek His pleasure, and do good, they find direction and fulfillment. Without this understanding, life feels meaningless, leading to confusion and unrest. Allah did not create humans without purpose. The Quran states:
“Did you think that We created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?” (Quran 23:115)
Our purpose is to worship Allah alone and live according to His guidance.
“I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me.” (Quran 51:56)
Worship in Islam is not limited to prayer or fasting but includes every act done sincerely for Allah. When you live with purpose, seeking Allah’s pleasure you no longer feel lost or empty. Every action becomes meaningful and life becomes a journey towards nearness to your Lord.
3. Knowing where you will go after Death: Death is not the end but a transition to the Hereafter (Akhirah). Islam teaches that every soul will be held accountable for their deeds. Understanding the reality of the hereafter keeps the heart focused.
“Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your full compensation on the Day of Resurrection.” (Quran 3:185)
For the believer, it is a return to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said, “ Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler.” (Bukhari)
Knowing that this world is temporary and that paradise awaits those who strive for Allah, gives peace during trials and detachment from worldly distractions. Belief in the afterlife paradise (Jannah) or Hellfire (Jahannam) gives life meaning. A believer strives for good deeds, fearing Allah’s punishment and hoping for His mercy. When a person lives with the awareness of the hereafter, they prioritize righteousness and avoid sinful distractions, leading to true peace of mind and contentment.
Conclusion
Islam teaches that real peace comes from:
1. Knowing Allah and relying on Him.
2. Understanding your purpose to worship and obey Him.
3. Being conscious of the Afterlife, which motivates good deeds and deters evil.
Without these three things, the heart remains restless and will be depressed. As the Quran Without these three, the heart remains restless. As the Quran says:
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Quran 13:28)
“But whoever turns away from my reminder indeed, he will have a depressed (miserable) life, and we will raise them blind on the day of judgement.” (Quran 20:124)
“Turns away from My reminder” refers to neglecting the Quran, Allah’s guidance and His remembrance (dhikr).
“A miserable life (Ma’ishatan Dankan)” implies a life of spiritual emptiness, anxiety and hardship even if one has material wealth.
“Blind on the day of judgement” signifies being deprived of spiritual insight and guidance in the hereafter.
